Nexhip Baboçi was born in Gjirokastra. After the war, he settled in Vlora. He was an Albanian partisan and war veteran.

Pali Prifti was an Albanian military commander. He was the commander of anti-aircraft batteries for 10 years (1981-1991). He was the commander of the Kavaja-86 exercise.
