1) The Sultan’s Commendation Medal (Midal at-Tawseet as Sultaneet) with palm citation on the ribbon. Circular gilt medal with fixed suspension bar; the face with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said Sultan of Oman’; the reverse inscribed ‘at Tawseet as Sultaneet’ in stylised Arabic script; with gilt palm branch citation on the ribbon. The medal was instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1957/58 to be awarded for acts of bravery. More recently, it has been awarded for exceptional leadership and devotion to duty as well as acts of gallantry. It was made by Spink and Son, London.

 

2) Royal Guard of Oman Special Service Medal with gilt emblem on the ribbon. Circular silver-gilt medal with palm-decorated ribbon bar suspension; the face with Arabic writing, said to be the words of a song; the reverse similar with the dates ‘1402’ and ‘1985’ in Arabic numerals at the base; with gilt emblem on the ribbon. The Medal was instituted on the15th anniversary of the Sultan’s reign in 1985 to be awarded for five years’ service in the Royal Guard of Oman. The medal is rarely found.

 

3) General Service Medal with ‘Dhofar’ bar. Circular gilt bronze medal with ribbon suspension bar; the face with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script above ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said’ and ‘Sultan of Oman’ below; the reverse with a mountainous landscape, an inscription above in Arabic script, a palm wreath below; with ‘Dhofar’ bar on the ribbon. The medal was instituted by Sultan Qaboos bin Said in 1976 at the end of the Dhofar Rebellion which had begun in 1962 for service in Dhofar.

 

4) As-Sumood Medal (Midal as-Sumood). Circular gilt metal medal with laterally-pierced ball suspension; the face with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script above ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said’ and ‘Sultan of Oman’ below; the reverse inscribed ‘Wisam As Sumood’ (Medal for Endurance) in stylised Arabic script. The medal was instituted by Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said in 1976 to mark the end of the Dhofar rebellion and was awarded for a minimum of 30 days’ service in the region between 23 May 1965 and 2 December 1975. The medal was manufactured by Spink and Son Ltd. of London.

 

5) Peace Medal with Sultan’s Operational Award. Circular bronze medal with laterally-pierced lug for ribbon suspension; the face with national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script above ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said’ and ‘Sultan of Oman’ below; the reverse with a dove held in a pair of hands, circumscribed above and below ‘The Sultan’s Medal for Preserving the Peace’ in Arabic script; with the Sultan’s Operational Award, being a gilt Omani crown on the ribbon. The medal was instituted in 1980 and awarded to all members of the Armed Forces, Police and senior Ministry of Defence staff who had served at least one year after 1 July 1976 following the defeat of the Dhofar rebellion. The Operational Award was granted to those killed or wounded in action and for an act of bravery in the face of the enemy in the Southern Province after the same date. The medal was manufactured by Spink and Son Ltd. of London.

 

6) Tenth Anniversary Medal (Midal al-'Aid al-Watani al-'A'ashir al-Majid). Circular cupro-nickel medal with laterally-pierced loop and laurel-leaf-decorated ribbon suspension bar; the face a five-pointed star centrally bearing the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, a circumscription relating to the tenth anniversary in Arabic script below; the reverse with the national flag of the Sultanate of Oman centrally, circumscribed above in Arabic script ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Mua’tham’ and dated (1970-1980). The medal was instituted by Sultan Qaboos bin Said on 27 July 1980 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his accession and awarded to members of the armed forces with a minimum of six months’ service.

 

7) Glorious Fifteenth National Day Medal, 1985. Circular scallop-edged gilt metal medal with ribbon suspender in the form of thorny branches; the face with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said Sultan of Oman’; the reverse with the central Arabic numerals (15) circumscribed ‘Glorious Fifteenth National Day Medal’ in Arabic script and dated (1985). The medal was instituted by Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said on 18 November 1985 to mark the 15th anniversary of his accession. The medal was manufactured by Spink and Son Ltd. of London.

 

8) Glorious Twentieth National Day Medal with Crown Emblem, 1990. Circular gilt medal with castellated rim and fixed decorated ribbon suspension bar; the face with the head and shoulders portrait of Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said in military uniform and facing left, Arabic inscriptions below and circumscribed above, dated (1990) at the base; the reverse with the central figure figure (20) within an Arabic circumscription and dated (1990) and (1970) below; with gilt Omani crown device on the ribbon. The medal was instituted in 1990 to mark the 20th anniversary of the accession of Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said and was awarded to those serving on 18 November 1990. It was manufactured in Switzerland.

 

9) Twenty-fifth National Day Medal, 1995. Five-pointed silver star with five edge lines, on suspension bar decorated with laurel leaves; the face with the crowned national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman; the reverse with a stippled map of Oman bearing the figure (25) and the date (1995). The medal was instituted in 1995 to mark the 25th anniversary of the accession of Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. It was manufactured by Spink and Son, London.

 

10) Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Midal al-Khidmat al-Saluk al-Tawilat wa Hasan). Circular gilt medal with fixed ribbon suspension bar; the face with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said Sultan of Oman’; the reverse inscribed ‘lil Khidmat at Taweela’ (for Long Service) in Arabic script within a palm wreath. The medal was instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1960 for twelve years of continuous service and good conduct in the Omani armed forces. The medal was manufactured by Spink of London. A new version for Sultan Qaboos, as in this example, was produced in 1972.

11) The Sultan’s Bravery Medal (Wisam Al Jura’at) with the Sultan’s emblem on the ribbon. Circular gilt medal with scroll and fixed ribbon bar suspension; the face with national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script above ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said’ and ‘Sultan of Oman’ below; the reverse inscribed ‘lil Shuja’at’ (for Gallantry) in Arabic characters within a palm wreath; on original ribbon with the Sultan’s emblem in gilt. The Medal was instituted in 1967 by Sultan Said bin Taimur to be awarded for gallant and distinguished service in action against the enemy. It has always been awarded sparingly and is rare.

Circular gilt metal medal with suspension bar; the face with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, circumscribed in Arabic script ‘Sultan Qaboos bin Said Sultan of Oman’; the reverse inscribed ‘lil Khidmat al Mumta’aza’ (for distinguished service) in Arabic script within a palm wreath; very slight contact marks; on original ribbon mounted for wear with brooch bar with Spink & Son Ltd maker's mark to the reverse. The medal was instituted in 1967 by Sultan Said bin Taimur to be awarded for distinguished service and devotion to duty over a long period or for conspicuous acts of bravery at risk of life, but not in the face of the enemy. A new version for Sultan Qaboos was produced by Spink of London from 1972.

13) Order of the Special Royal Emblem, version in silver for expatriate officers, with silver crown emblem on the ribbon. Silver hexagonal medal with ‘V’ shaped insets centrally to each side to create the plan of a fort, with ribbon bar with diamond-shaped geometric decoration; the face with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman centrally, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed; the reverse with the image of an Omani fort with palm trees, dated 1970-1985 below; on original ribbon bearing a silver Omani crown. The Order was instituted in 1985 and awarded to expatriate officers serving on the Fifteenth National Day. A version in gold with the Sultan’s Tughra on the reverse was produced for serving Omani officers. The insignia were produced by Asprey & Company plc of London.

В интернете была выложена книга по наградам Омана. Помню скачивал, но теперь не могу найти ни на компе, ни в интернете. Может у кого есть ссылка?
